These prefabrication molds are used to manufacture slabs for the renovation of a ballastless tunnel of the Rhaetian Railway (Canton Graubünden – CH).

For the manufacture of ballastless tunnel renovation slabs

Concrete elements used for railway applications require dimensional accuracy in the mm range and angular accuracy in the sub-degree range.

This constraint led us to implement a mixed solution, combining the precision of laser cutting with themachining of 3D “pockets” produced by a company specializing in the machining of plastic injection molds.

Delayed demoulding : Self-compacting concrete

Simultaneous production quantity: 1 piece per day

Technical difficulties :

Dimensional tolerances in the mm range

Integration of 5-axis CNC-machined parts, to achieve the precision of a plastic injection mold.

Delivery country: Switzerland, Canton of Graubünden

Destination: Renovation of a railway tunnel
