These prefabrication molds are designed for manufacturing renovation slabs for a ballastless tunnel of the Rhaetian Railway (Canton of Grisons – CH).
For the manufacture of ballastless tunnel renovation slabs
The concrete elements used for railway applications require dimensional accuracies in the order of millimeters and angular accuracies less than a degree.
This constraint led us to implement a mixed solution, combining the precision of laser cutting with themachining of 3D “pockets” produced by a company specializing in the machining of plastic injection molds.
Delayed demoulding : Self-compacting concrete
Simultaneous production quantity: 1 piece per day
Technical difficulties :
Dimensional tolerance in the order of millimeters
Integration of 5-axis CNC-machined parts, to achieve the precision of a plastic injection mold.
Delivery country: Switzerland, Canton of Graubünden
Destination: Renovation of a railway tunnel
