Moulds for architectural concrete
Architectural concrete: one of CTVS's specialties
Among concrete parts, architectural concrete elements require the most expertise:
The purpose of a piece of architectural concrete is to contribute to the structure of the building... With exceptional facing quality.
Architectural concrete can be used to give a building a signature look, thanks to the shape of the parts and the quality of the facing.
Architects ask our customers for a design.
Our customers then ask us about the feasibility of forming these parts.
Because of the technical difficulties involved, the manufacture of prefabrication molds for architectural parts is one of CTVS's specialties.
These parts, and therefore the molds used to produce them, generally have complex geometric shapes with double curvatures, variable cross-sections and twisting movements.
Some parts are not enclosed by developable surfaces, so we have to make prefabrication molds by assembling small sheet metal parts. This is a highly technical job for craftsmen, requiring considerable boiler-making know-how.
Siding quality :
Whatever the color of the concrete, the part must emerge without marks or roughness. This calls for perfect mould surface quality and preparation.
